PRESIDENT'S WELCOME AND OPENING REMARKS
The President, Bruce Bourke, chaired the meeting and welcomed all attendees. He spoke to the attached report thanking various Committee members and volunteers for their great contribution over the past year. Special thanks to retiring Committee members Col Monson, Craig Atkins, and Terry Benaim.
ln addition, Bruce noted the recent passing of Paul La Motte. Paul was a Life Member of the Club who served as the Club’s Treasurer for 11 years and who was very influential in building the Club’s current strong financial position.

Captain’s 2024 AGM Report
Craig spoke to the attached report, noting that after many years of turbulence, the last year had been pretty normal and things had generally operated smoothly.
He congratulated all trophy winners and advised that a list of all winners would be posted in the Clubrooms.
The play-off for the Club Championship was conducted on Saturday, 9 November with Robin Maualaivao defeating Michael Vesnaver to win the event. Congratulations to both players for playing some great, golf over the 4 weeks of the competition.
Two other issues highlighted by Craig were as follows:
- ‘No shows’ – in recent weeks there have been a number of no-shows on Saturday mornings. This has been raised as an issue of real concern by Greenspace Management and has potentially impacted on negotiations around the possibility of members being offered an annual green-fee package. Members who book and then cannot play must cancel their booking as early as possible and let the Pro-shop and the Captain know.
- Members who have a suggestion or complaint involving the Pro-shop or the course management must direct their complaint/suggestion through the Captain and not raise lt directly with the Pro-shop or course management. This will help us to maintain harmonious and effective working relationships with both these parties.
Members are also encouraged to participate in the events conducted by the VGL. These events offerthe opportunity to play at different courses around Melbourne.
